DR. LAUTEN JOHNSON
Dr. Lauten Johnson has been in pediatric dentistry for more than twelve years. His goal is and always has been to give children the best dental care possible. Dr. Johnson completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at UAB and obtained his Alabama State Dental License in 2006. He completed his residency in pediatrics in 2008 and is Board Certified in Pediatric Dentistry. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Johnson is also certified in the use of oral sedation and has privileges at Children’s Hospital and when needed can take a child to general anesthesia. In 2006, he won two clinical awards in excellence at UAB. First, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Pre-Doctoral Student Award which is given to the student with the greatest proficiency and interest in Pediatric Dentistry. Secondly, the Birmingham District Dental Society Award for outstanding clinical ability.
Dr. Johnson is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Johnson is also the founder of The Smile Foundation. Yearly, he leads a team to Mexico where they provide dental and medical services to the underprivileged. But his most favorite thing to do is spend time with his 3 amazing kids: Callie, Sanders and Mary Carmen.
Dr. LACEY SULLIVAN
Originally from Nashville, Dr. Lacey has been a proud resident of Birmingham since 2010. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from UAB in 2018 and has since focused on her passion for pediatric dentistry. She loves helping children feel comfortable and confident in the dental chair. When she’s not at the practice, she and her husband, Chris, enjoy traveling and outdoor adventures with their two sons, Walker and Rhett.
DR. LAUREN DENSON
Dr. Lauren Denson received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from UAB in 2013. Her sweet smile and caring demeanor along with her knowledge and expertise makes Dr. Lauren an excellent dentist for children and teenagers. Dr. Lauren is married to Dr. Doug Denson, an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in the Birmingham area. When she isn’t working, you will find her and Dr. Doug tagging along with their son, Grey, and daughter, Hayes.
DR. AL JONES
Dr. Jones is a Birmingham native and attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham for both his undergraduate and doctorate. In dental school, he was named Outstanding Graduating Student of the Year by the Birmingham District Dental Society. He also received the Best of the Best Award for excellence in prosthodontics, the Special Patient Care Award, and the Oral Biology Award. After dental school, Dr. Jones attended Saint Louis Center for Advanced Dental Education, where he earned his Master of Science and Certificate in Orthodontics.
Dr. Jones is married with three children. Two hilarious boxers, Emmy and Charlie, make up the other two members of their family. In his spare time, Dr. Jones enjoys saltwater fly fishing and golf.
